NOMIYA IZAKAYA & SAKE BAR REVIEWS
Small but cosy restaurant. The food was excellent along with the service. We tried many of the dishes and would have loved to try more but we're too stuffed. We appreciated the birthday sake that came with the ice cream. There was also a complimentary shot of sorbet for all guests. Forgot to take a photo of the Tako Wasabi, which was yummy too.
Had a great time here. Food was great and unique. We had the burnt butter prawns, lobster croquette and charcoal chicken. Would reorder the first and last for sure. Service was fantastic - best service I’ve had in a long while. On my way out after the meal, I mentioned it was my birthday and Joan, the kind waitress, made me come back to the table to serve me really good ice cream with a candle and sake. Really sweet of them.
We had the set for 2 (Wagu Sirloin version) and added on pork jowl and sashimi platter $39. We paired our meal with Akai Umeshu and Earl Grey Sake. The eggplant and edame was ok, the foie gras chawamushi was rich and delightful and the wagyu and pork was perfect 10/10. The skewers were alright except for the chicken piece which was a tad too hard and mainly bones. The truffle caviar noodle was aromatic but we felt the caviar was abit too much and truffle abit overpowering for us. The complimentary birthday hojicha dessert and yuzu sorbet was on point. Service was warm and prompt when i feedback on preference for lower chair and the aircon. I spent almost $270+ for 2 pax for a very filling and overall satisfying meal. Highly recommend and would definitely return again.

MARUKYU REVIEWS
A wonderful little place in town that seats 16. Marukyu serves up with a rather good Japanese Omakase selection, making them stand out from the bevy of Korean BBQ shops spattered across the area. Great attentive service from their wait staff. Checking frequently to make sure our cups are filled and promptly clearing away emptied dishes. Will help speed things along if the staff were familiar with their own menu. Thankfully their super friendly head chef was moving around the front of house to make recommendation of the seasonal catches as well as his yummy specials. Food coming out from the kitchen was beautifully plated up, a feast for the eyes. Did not disappoint.
I loved the vibes of the place - clean and calm. Came by during lunch and had the lunch set, the seafood is fresh. First time I truly enjoyed swordfish, tuna and scallops! It was definitely a good experience. I look forward coming again.
Just had an excellent lunch set at Marukyu. From the tereaki fish to the karaage chicken and misho soup, salad and ... Including a green tea ice cream as a desert the food was very well cooked and prepared, we received speedy and polite service and the atmosphere was also relaxed. Exactly what one would want from a quick business break lunch time. We will definitely come back soon, thank you.

RAKU RAKU JAPANESE DINING REVIEWS
An authentic Japanese izakaya serving popular izakaya dishes. Warm and prompt service. Seafood is not their strength. But serving portions are very generous. Small but good selection of sake, shoju and beer. Generally crowded on weekdays from the office crowd hence reservation is recommended. Weekend is a good place to dine as it is not too rowdy. Very very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.
Had very great dinner here. The food are delicious. We have ordered chicken cutlet rice, cold soba, sashimi don, prawn tempura and karage and it is juicy. Sadly they don’t have steam egg.
The choice of cooked food was great. Prices are very reasonable. Izakaya style and excellent choice for casual dining.
