Reviews

Third time eating from this restaurant. We ordered the Bumbu I’ve always wanted to visit Bara Food, and finally had the chance since I was in the area. Tucked behind Two Men Bagel House in Icon Village Altez ?, this cozy spot offers an exceptional dining experience with dishes bursting with authentic Indonesian flavors and beautiful presentation. The Eggplant Sambal (Terong Balado) featured perfectly cooked eggplant slices smothered in a vibrant and spicy sambal sauce, complemented by fresh lettuce on the side. Every bite was rich, smoky, and full of umami. The Ayam Goreng Cabe Ijo consisted of crispy fried chicken generously topped with a fragrant and spicy green chili sambal. The sambal hijau had a vibrant kick and paired beautifully with the juicy fried chicken. Served with banana leaf-wrapped rice, fresh vegetables, and sambal, this dish was both hearty and flavorful. The Ayam Goreng Serundeng was another standout. The fried chicken was topped with crispy, golden-brown spiced coconut flakes, adding a delightful crunch and aromatic richness. The chicken was tender and flavorful, served alongside classic sides like fried tempeh, tofu, and sambal. The presentation of each dish was impeccable, and the sambals delivered a bold kick without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients. The ambiance was cozy, and the service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Indonesian cuisine in Singapore. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!(chicken) and Soto Ayam Kuning, and both are very nice and flav

I first tried Bara food at the simei outlet and I was really impressed. Dropped by TP outlet this time round. Ordered the Ayam Bakar Bara set which has grilled chicken! Btw you can request for chicken parts (thigh/breast), which is great~ Really enjoyed the meal! Chicken was nicely grilled and flavorful, plus the thigh meat was tender. The dish was served with fried tofu & tempeh, really liked the tofu - I’ll request both tofu next time. The star of the dish though, for me, was the rice yet again! Grilled and so aromatic with spices. I could eat it on its own! LOVEEEEE.

Absolutely loved my dining experience at this cozy Indonesian spot! The Ayam Goreng was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned—a true delight. The Tempe Orek was equally impressive, with just the right amount of spice and a satisfying crunch. Both dishes reminded me of traditional Indonesian flavors that are bold and comforting. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even more enjoyable.
