D'Penyetz is a well-known award-winning Indonesian restaurant serving a wide variety of Indonesian dishes in a friendly atmosphere. Edy Ongkowijaya, the owner, founded the restaurant in 2005. Their signature menu is the smashed fried chicken (Ayam Penyet) served with fried tofu and tempeh with five different levels of famous sambal chilly (from mild to dangerously spicy level 5). Their best-selling dishes are Tahu-Telor, Ayam Bakar, Gado-Gado, Pomfret Fish Penyet, and Iga Bakar. The restaurant is well known for its spicy sambal variety, imported directly from Jakarta's central kitchen. D'Penyetz specialises in Kampung Penyet Chicken served with fried kampung chicken, creamy vegetables, and chilli sauce. Also, remember to taste their Balinese Penget Duck, filled with traditional fried duck seasoned with a savoury secret seasoning and served with fried tofu, fried tempeh, fresh vegetables, and chilli sauce. First time here eating Ayam Penyet for dinner, pretty tasty & the sambal is very spicy! Also ordered the grilled pomfret and the sambal brinjal. You can choose the levels of spiciness and level 3 to me is already super spicy Shall visit again and gonna try the chendol as I was too full this time to continue with dessert.

This is one of your easily overlooked hidden gems tucked away in lor chuan. Unassuming but the ayam penyat is truly the best. For the folks that think nus science canteen is great, this one is for you. And further more, its relatively reasonably priced which adds a further ton of value.

Uncle is very friendly and portions are generous. Have tried the beef rendang and the ayam pengyet so far and they're absolutely delicious. They're both at $5 each atm, would say it's value for money
The sotong Hitam is one of the best I’ve eaten in Singapore, the sauce is really really good. Coupled with their lady finger, it’s the bomb!
Foods great. service excellent. staffs are very friendly. and the outlet is well maintained. the staffs really do care about the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop. good job!
