Wow! I was bowled over by the extraordinary food here at Adda. Chef Mural really worked his magic giving new meaning to what he described as Neo Indian cuisine. An example was his kolkota momos … the chicken and vegetables dumplings were cooked in a spicy sauce that reminded me of the Chinese Szechuan sauce. Love how he married Indian traditional cooking with diverse cultural flavors that made our dinner so enjoyable. We had the pani puri, chicken tikka, momos, paneer korma, dal maakhni, lamb bhunna, saffron rice and some naan. Must go back soon. The only reason why I gave the atmosphere 4 stars though, was that the music was too loud.
I happened to stumble upon ADDA as a suggestion in the Little India area, and I'm glad for this happy accident! This restaurant is just lovely! The cocktails were a fantastic twist on known ones, infused with the vibrancy of Indian flavours. While we didn't get a chance to order too many items off the food menu, whatever we ordered was very delectable. The Chilli Milli Chicken seemed like it would be a perfect pairing for a crisp lager. The Flambéed Lamb Chops were falling-off-the-bone tender, with a little bit of gravy/sauce that paired well with their Garlic Confit Naan. We also ordered the Prawn Biryani, which came with king prawns and had fluffy, aromatic rice. Finally, upon house recommendation, we ordered their Gulab Jamun Cheese Cake...and it was fantastic!
Had a two-week short stay in Singapore in July. An unforgettable memory was the wonderful dining experience in ADDA. ADDA offered a unique culinary experience with standout dishes like ADDA Nachos and Chicken Lotus Root Korma. Meeting Chef Mural was a highlight, and the Gulab Jamun Cheese Cake was divine!
