YAMAGAWA JAPANESE RESTAURANT REVIEWS
An unassuming restaurant serving tasty Japanese food located just behind Parkroyal at Beach Rd (at the Plaza), they do their teppanyaki and sashimi well. There are free flow of green tea, and services are of standard. Do try their sashimi if you do visit them. Tried their scallops, garlic fried rice and sweet ebi, which are all great.
Quietly hidden away from the city, just slightly at the fringe, an authentic Japanese restaurant that serves almost all variety of Japanese food under a single setting; sashimi, maki, udon, tempura, teppanyaki, sushi, handroll and many many more. Food is decently priced, and definitely worth many returns.
Nice, authentic classic Japanese restaurant that also has a small teppannyaki area if you want Menu selection of nice sashimi, rice dons, udon, and more. The steak is delicious and prepared in the teppannyaki grill (even if seated at the regular tables), cooked to perfection.

YORIMICHI YAKITORI REVIEWS
If I had to improve on the original Yorimichi Yakitori restaurant, I’d suggest a more intimate venue, a finer selection of sake and a menu that raised the bar in making your mouth water as it’s cooked in front of you. Luckily Yorimichi Omakase does all of the above. The food that gets special mention is the hamburger that’s pan fried to sear in its own juices before getting a quick blast on the grill to lock in those juicy flavours. Each bite is well worth my doctor telling me to lower my cholesterol. The lady finger Yakitori and scallops were also worth mentioning as they burst with flavours that beg to be washed down with a clean, dry sake. It was a delicious meal and another Yorimichi meal you won’t forget in a hurry.
The menu offers a sufficient variety of food that appealed to us much. However what got us excited was the extensive list of Sake they have to offer! The chef would greet us and check our dietary requirements before recommending his special(s) for the day. We eat almost everything off the menu. The ??? Tsukune Yakitori is deliciously slathered in ?? Tare sauce and egg yolk served on the side as a dipping sauce. A bite into the well-rolled meatball, the cartilage gave an eyebrow raiser. A familiar taste we have tasted in Japan. Another highly raved dish was the chicken heart, the chef carefully explained how he had cleaned the palpitated organ with milk to eliminate the gamy smell/taste. Chef definitely put in plenty of effort to make all other dishes on the menu so palatable! Overall, food is delectable and the atmosphere is brilliant for a group of 5-6 alcoholic and food lover adults.
Great omakase with good weekly special dishes. Love the meat balls! Wide variety of sake for pairing. Highly recommended place with affordable prices too.

Came here for a birthday and everything exceeded my expectation. It is a simple no nonsense place. The chef really put a lot of love into the dishes. The place is small and intimate, not over the top. Highly recommend and will definitely come back again. Highlight of the night: all the dishes were good but the fatty tuna was the best!
Came here after reading so many good reviews. I was not disappointed but rather impressed with their professionalism and attention to details that beats even Japanese Chefs. The seafood was to the utmost freshness and the cooked dishes were done with flair. It was definitely a very good experience and value for money. Nice good range of whiskies and sake and do try their homemade Umeshi. Well done. We will be back.
