Kota Zheng Zong Bak Kut Teh

I was looking for authentic Malaysian Herbal Bak Kut Teh and found this place in Serangoon Gardens. So I went with my wife to try out the food here. We ordered a small pot of Bak Kut Teh and was asked to select which kinds of meat we preferred. We could choose 4 kinds. Ribs, Belly, Tail and Trotters. We left out the Trotters and chose the other three. There were 2 pieces of Tails, 4 slices of Belly and 2 small portions of Ribs. There were add ons too but all the above was charged at $13.50. I would say its expensive but the soup made up for it.

Big portion of bak kut teh. You can try this out if you like those 'dark' soup base bkt. Not cheap but the food and environment are good.

The premium pork ribs are uniquely prepared. They are succulent and even the fats are retained, unlike other bakuteh where most of them are dry albeit tender. Herbal soup is tasty, not too strong. If you have tried various BKT, this adds to the variety. Must-try.
