SONG FA BAK KUT TEH REVIEWS
This is my favourite go to place in the east for Ba Kut Teh. Despite its immense popularity and expansion, their standards and flavours has been maintained. One great plus about dining here is the free flow peppery soup, it is almost on tap. All you need to do is ask for more and they will happily fill up all your bowls with the kettle of theirs. Their ribs are fresh and tasty while the great array of side dishes really whet my appetite. I also like their braised items particularly the chicken feet & 3 layer meat and it's many vegetables options. Dou miao is one of the must order items. Personal preference is choosing mee sua over the rice and the thick black soy sauce of theirs is an absolute must have. They also provide freshly cut red chillies which really heightens the whole dining experience. This outlet is rather popular during meal times so one must be prepared to queue for a table. It's suggested to come early if you do not wish to join the long queues. Two thumbs up!
I frequent this particular branch for its consistently delicious offerings, particularly the pork slices and youtiao that I always order. While I can't speak for other branches, I make a point to visit this specific one at least once every month.
Simple and fulfilling lunch on a weekday afternoon. Not much of crowd after 2pm. If you like the white peppery Bak Kut teh soup instead of the black herbal ones, then you should try it here. Very much prefer this outlet than the other ones downtown, much more cosy and quieter. Staff will replenish soup upon requests. On the overall, a satisfying lunch. Will be back.

YA WU (AH ORH) KWAY CHAP & BAK KUT TEH REVIEWS
Been eating at this store for a very long time, I prefer their braised sauce as opposed to most stalls, which goes great with rice, along with their homemade chilli. The food is good for both dine-in and takeaway The offals are also usually properly cleaned. Price is also ok if you're sharing, e.g. my family usually share this among a pax of 4. The auntie and uncle owners are also friendly and approachable in my opinion.
I told the auntie I wanted everything on the menu and told me it's too much In the end, I still ordered almost everything on the menu as evident in the pictures. The meats are soft and melt in your mouth and the gravy is thick and flavorful. The only let down is the kway, they could have make an effort to cook it longer in the hot water before serving. No matter, I am happy to come back again to savour the goodness they serve up at this stall! The service is a bit slow though but it is ok to wait a little for good food and this is certainly one of those worth the wait for!
My family has been eating aunty’s kway chap for many years. One of the Best kway chap. The intestines are cleaned and braised well. The braised sauce is very tasty and aromatic. I realised also that quite a few of my childhood and school friends have been coming to this stall for many yrs as well.

OLD WORLD FRIED PORRIDGE REVIEWS
Situated in a coffee shop in the middle of an industrial location, it is the last survivor of many entrepreneurs who have bravely attempted to offer their delicious meals. Standing tall and defiant against the harsh conditions, beckoning to the hungry to offer them some respite. Never wavering in the face of the 3 giants (Giant, Courts and IKEA. No pun intended) that surround it. From heart-warming bowls of pure bliss to exciting flavours and textures of their snacks. Every tummy shall be filled with the joy of tasty wholesome food. And for those who may be a bit careful with their coin, they will be pleased to note that the fares are cheap for the wares they receive. Parking your steeds and carriages pose no trouble, for there is plenty of room for everyone along the road. Come at the right time, and you may even get a spot right outside the establishment. Come pay them a visit soon, lest they be subject to the same fate.
Tried their Fried Porridge with Pork and their Mixed Pig Organ soup. Their Fried Porridge is something special. It looks mushy but the porridge has the “Wok Hei” taste and the pork slices were really tender and super nice! The Mixed Pig Organ Soup was also slightly different on the soup base. It doesn’t carry the usual strong pork smell on first whiff but when you put the soup into the mouth, it carries the usual taste but it’s blended with something else that I cannot determine. The soup blend taste good and I find it pretty addictive. Will come back to try their other dishes.
Very glad they're back. Previously rated 5 stars for this place, glad to report that standards are still as high. Pork is fresh and tender, pig liver is cooked beautifully. The star is of course the braised intestines. Clean, sweet, salty and tender.
