Mikawa Yakitori Bar

Really good place, I'm surprised I've never noticed it before. The food is tasty, some of my favourites were the century egg tofu, the grilled rice ball, the truffle butter mushrooms, and the saba shioyaki. All the yakitori are also really good, especially the chili pepper and the leeks. It's a bit pricey since most of the serving sizes are quite small, but I'd definitely come back again.

Wonderful choice to enjoy both premium and casual Japanese dishes/ snacks. I absolutely love their fresh and succulent oysters, served with ikura, how fancy! Everything tastes great and authentic. The soft shell crab and salmon head are nice to go with drinks. The lively ambiance does a great job of creating the izakaya vibe, makes it an enjoyable night out. Highly recommended!

So glad that the food didn’t disappoint at all, in terms of taste and quantity. I’d recommend getting their Hiyashi Soba with Truffle Shoyu, whereby the noodles are freshly air-flown from Japan. The Yaki Somen Whisky was really good too and packed with flavour. Don’t forget to order some beer or sake for the complete experience to go along with yakitori.
