AH CHIANG'S PORRIDGE REVIEWS
The ginger cold chicken is delicious, it's soft and tender, there are a little bone which is alright. The chilli goes well with the chicken and gives it a kick. Porridge is boiling hot, it more towards the thick side of the texture. Century eggs and pork goes well with the porridge, you can add a chicken egg to boost the flavour. The you tiao adds some saltiness to the dish. Price is decent.
A peaceful little eatery at a shophouse in Tiong Bahru. Ordered the century egg porridge, omelette, vegetables & youtiao! Total came to $25 which is reasonable. Food was done well and in a comfortable environment. Oh the aiyu jelly was really smooth and had a fantastic texture! Place gives me a nostalgic feeling.
Finally tried this old porridge stall, open since 1971. Tasty without being overwhelming. Liked the fresh ginger slices and spring onions, and crispy dough fritas. Portion not too big. Tried the minced pork version, among many different options. Service was prompt and friendly.

POR KEE EATING HOUSE REVIEWS
Always a favourite place to dine since ages ago. The food quality is consistent and authentic old taste. Many people has fond memories dining in this place. The service is cordial and efficient. Corkage for bringing own wine is also reasonable at $5. We can also see a lot of foreigners dining here. I enjoy the outdoor tables. Not many of such place in Singapore. A real treasure.
As per the many good reviews, food was fantastic! Especially the recommended dishes cereal prawns and champagne long ribs! Enjoyed the frog soup as well, full of herbs yet not too overpowering.

DE GOLDEN SPOON REVIEWS
Good old traditional food. Simple yet tasty. We had their signature crab bee hoon, a must have. So tat that we left no strand of bee hoon or gravy on the plate. The good old deep fried baby squid was crispy and the sauce was sweet and tangy. Their ribs, veg, and were good. Only the chicken with pumpkin sauce was so so. Chicken was tasteless but was crispy. Good to call to make a reservation. It gets very crowded.
A little quaint neighborhood zi czar that offers delicious dishes. The cold platter with prawn rolls, fried squid were divine. And their famous crab bee hoon was full of umami flavour. The razor clams were a bit overcooked though. The coffee ribs and the claypot tofu seafood were lovely. Overall good service.
Great local food joint. Mostly seafood, but good fried chicken too. Service friendly and pretty decent by Singapore standards! White pepper crab highly recommended.
