Upon checking with the staff, I found out that this is a branch of the famous Leong Kee (Klang) BKT at Geylang we used to frequent. This branch however surpassed our expectations in terms of service and environment. Despite the long waiting time for the food (which was understandable as it seemed that there is only one kitchen staff), we were highly impressed by the attentiveness of this same kitchen staff who has taken initiative to refill our soup even though he was also busy with serving duties. In our opinion, this place serves the best herbal and dried BKT you can find in SG! An added bonus is the crispy and piping hot youtiao, which pairs so well with the herbal BKT. We love it and will be back for more, before the crowd learns about this newly opened branch.
The bak Kut teh was great and brothy like the original Geylang stall BUT THIS PLACE HAS WORKING AIRCON which is amazing.
Good Pot of BKT on a rainy day. Miss the herbal style from Malaysia and it’s nice to have one near the east now. Will definitely be back for more.
