I can’t believe it’s my first time here since the restaurant moved here from Siglap. Family run establishments feel more personal compared to those big ones in the malls. Place is clean, decor is tasteful, food is good and prices reasonable. Good place for family meal as menu selection is wide enough to satisfy grown ups and kids. I see quite a number of families with young children quietly enjoying their food. I enjoyed watching their new robot server delivering food from the kitchen. Definitely will go back again when I have a craving for Japanese food. There’s free parking in front of the restaurant (if you’re lucky) or paid basement parking in the building next door or street side URA parking.
Finally paid a visit to this restaurant after hearing an extremely positive review from a friend. Food is extremely fresh and delicious although slightly pricier, but you pay for what you get and I would gladly pay for this quality of food! Service is also fast and staff are extremely friendly, plus they offer free parking right outside the restaurant. Would definitely visit again :)

Wahiro is a Japanese restaurant that provides authentic, innovative Japanese cuisine in a relaxing, cosy ambience. It is located in Roxy Square 1. The Restaurant is owned by chef Hozumi, who built a reputation for serving superior Japanese cuisine made from the freshest and most authentic Japanese ingredients imported from Japan. Wahiro is genuinely one of the most authentic places for Japanese izakaya food. Their dishes are quite copious, so go with a healthy appetite and an empty stomach. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Their Specialties include "Monthly Kaiseki", fresh air-flown seafood from Japan, sashimi, sushi, tempura, Kushiyaki, and ala carte dishes.

It had been hard to make a reservation here if you are targeting the usual 6-8pm dining time slot so book early if you can. The somen and the skewers are delicious. Somen was an off menu item where the staff recommended that we can add the noodles to the asari clams soup and it blow us off. Skewers have a nice smoked smell to it so that was exciting. The place is tucked inconspicuously in an old building so could be easy to miss this amidst all the cafes lining east coast road.
Dinner at Wahiro @Roxy Sq. 1st time. Tried their 8-course Wahiro set. Thick fresh sashimi. Interesting dishes. Filling at end of course. Literally a hidden gem restaurant- store front is not obvious from main thoroughfare. Small restaurant so reservation is recommended unless dining before 7pm. After 7pm, we noted almost full occupancy. Service is good. Food came quickly upon ordering.
Food is ALWAYS GOOD and the staffs are friendly and helpful. It might look like a hole-in-the-wall kind of place but this is truly one of the most authentic places for Japanese izakaya food. Highly recommended.

Excellent service! My family always love the dining experience at Ichiban Boshi at both Great World City (our first choice for location & service) and Parkway Parade (second choice for location & service). Wheelchair accessibility: The walkway is wide so I could park my mother’s wheel chair near our table. Excellent!
Our usual go to place for a quick japanese food fix. Always surprise us with new menu and they all taste good. Price is very affordable and fair. Food taste good and portion are generous.
