A serious practice of Yoga can be challenging for beginners due to the sheer amount of information available. There is no dearth of resources advising on asanas, pranayama, mudras and a number of meditation techniques. The information is often unstructured and caters to specific goals, e.g. mobility, better sleep, stress reduction etc.
This is where Hatha Vidya shines by laying out a clear path one can follow, especially for beginners. The course is very well structured and adds new elements gradually as the student progresses. The teachers are constantly on the move advising and correcting. This helps give one-on-one attention.
I also find the weekly theory sessions with Acharya Bala very informative and interesting. They often go beyond the traditional texts and enter into practical discussions on how one can embrace yoga while living in constraints of a modern society.
