Quality of rice is good and the chicken katsu, although not the crispy version, is cut thickly and lightly seasoned (not overly salty which is good). Service is prompt and polite. Overall quite good value ($7.80 for chicken katsu don) but the coffeeshop is a little warm so I'd recommend takeaway if you are sensitive to the heat during the day.
I always turn to this stall for my comfort food during lunch - my favourite is the Chicken Mentai Don with cheese. Expensive for coffee shop food, but very tasty. Staff is often doing a one man show, but takes orders and delivers well. He deserves a raise.
Thought it was slightly pricey for foodcourt food but it's I dare say restaurant quality without the GST. I got the spicy salmon mentai and it was super flavourful! Fish was a pretty decent size with a generous amount of charred mentai sauce. No regrets trying, would be back soon for more.
