D'Penyetz Hillion Mall

Randomly chanced upon this restaurant and it was above expectations. They have 8 levels of spiciness to choose from and I tried level 7 being a spicy lover for the Madura spice chicken. First mouth and the spiciness kicks in right away, the black spicy they use has a unique taste that's blands in perfectly well with the crispy chicken and I must say it's not just only those spicyt till numb feeling with pure chilli taste, this was spicy with taste! The chicken itself was also very fragrant and delicious especially the chicken skin which is crispy too and the meat inside is soft and tender. I was sweating all over and it was definitely a satisfied sweat. My friend has also same consensus for his smashed chicken with the crispiness and fragrant of the chicken! Level 2 will be good enough for those who can't take spicy and for kids. The Gado Gado peanut sauce was also grinded till fine and paste form which personally I like it this way instead having chunks of peanuts in it. Another HIGHLY recommend dish is the yamien chicken noodle! It taste very similar to those eaten in Indonesia! The mee is al dente and when mixed with the chicken bits and vegetables, it's mouth watering! I hadn't had such nice "Maggie" kind of noodles for some time. In fact is nicer than the "mama shops" in JB. Can't wait to return again and this time to bring my family over, definitely gonna go for level 8 this time to test my spicy limits! The staff are also friendly by the way.

Perfect food. Enak banget! Good service by your workers. Fast and effectient. Dwi, is also a friendly and very dedicated worker. I like The atmosphere is simple but yet not bustling with passers by. The location is not too secluded but - It’s just a Hidden Gem. The variety of dishes is on a minimal, but the amount of love put into preparing the food is excellent. I’ve been eating at this location and ordering the same food “Lele penyet - Fried catfish” at least once a week. I give it a 5 star.

Found a hidden gem in Hillion Mall! The ayam penyet orders were all done to perfection. Different levels of chili sauce to match. Egg toufoo was to die for! Value for the high quality of food served.
