Maxwell Food Centre

My hotel was a 5 minute walk from here so I came several times for over the course of my trip. I came for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As a solo traveler it was nice to be able to order and eat alone without feeling as weird as I sometimes do when solo at a restaurant. I loved the no fuss, no frills just great food at great prices. It was usually easy to find a table and if not everyone was super friendly and sitting with someone else wasn’t a problem. Great way to try many different foods.

One of the most well known food centers in Singapore for both locals and tourists due to a certain food stall attaining Michelin Star success years ago. Aside from that, the other food here isn't terrible either. One of my favorite stalls has to be the satay skewers stall that grills up your satay to order and they'll give you a beeper until it's ready to be picked up. Bathrooms were clean here the entire place is quite easy to locate from the MRT station.

Absolutely love this place. Also MUST try the avocado/coconut drink from Avoca Brooo. It is one of the most delicious (not to mention healthy) smoothies I have ever had!!! There is such a great selection of food here in general and it is an extremely fun and cheap place to eat. Over 100 food stalls! Highly recommend
