Food Republic @ NEX

Whenever we are in the mood for a light breakfast or dinner, we always head to the Hong Kong dim sum stall at Food Republic in Nex. This place offers a variety of dim sum options that never disappoint. On our most recent visit, we decided to try the porridge. Although it wasn't as warm as we would have liked it to be, the savory flavors and generous amount of ingredients made up for it. The combination of different textures and tastes in the porridge was satisfying and comforting. Food Republic tends to get quite crowded, especially during dinner hours. Despite the hustle and bustle, the vibrant atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience. The lively energy and the aroma of freshly cooked food create a welcoming environment for diners. Overall, our visit to the Hong Kong dim sum stall at Food Republic was enjoyable, and we left feeling satisfied and content. It has definitely become our go-to spot for a delicious and light meal with friends.

The food republic at Nex is always crowded during lunch and dinner time. I went in the morning about 10am and can find seat easily. My first time trying the wanton noodles. Portion is just nice for me. There are pork lard and make the noodle even more delicious. The roasted char siew tastes nice and not too fatty. There are 3 wantons in the soup. The chilli is spicy and goes well with the noodles. Noodles is QQ. The next food I always ordered is the Dim Sum. The char Siew Su is very yummy and I love it. I can even have 2. And together with my coffee, it is so nice. The fried mee sua was a bit hard but I can still accept. Overall this place is clean and spacious. The tables are clean as there are aunties who clean the table.

In the latest visit, u tried the chicken rice. It was good. The chicken was smooth, the soup herbal. If there was any complaint, it's that I wud have liked more chicken.
