Old Street Bak Kut Teh

Such a nice meal to warm you up on a rainy Sunday evening. The place is pleasantly clean and the staff accommodating. They’ve got quite a selection, but of course the pièce de résistance will be the Bak Kut Teh We ordered the large portion with 2 rice. Certainly enough for two. The broth is so rich and yummy that I could’ve easily finished another bowl of rice or two if I wasn’t cutting back on carbs. Paid under S$19, including a glass of lime juice with plum. Top-ups of the broth given at no extra charge. Value for money, would definitely come back.

They are affordably priced, especially with their set meals! Their soup base is the peppery style which I absolutely love! I have had the same dishes on at least 3 occasions at the same location - PLQ and I'm glad that the quality is upheld and meat is still tender as before. Would prefer this over more expensive and hyped up BKT. May the owner keep the prices as it is for as long as possible!
