I especially like how the centre ensures my child completes her homework correctly with proper guidance on areas where my child is unsure. They also do additional worksheets on all subjects. Besides focusing on academic, the center also has enrichment activity and play time for the kids to balance things out. Nutritious and balance meals are provided. I am assured that my child is well taken care off after school.

The centre communicates actively with parents and also introduce a variety of activities with the students. Currently my child has joined for 3rd month and we are happy with the services provided. Tuition service is after studentcare so we do not need to make extra trips to bring our children for lesson. So far, my children are happy with their Tuition there.

My boy enjoys his lesson every week. The teacher will provide parents with what he has improved and lacked for my boy in the review report. Teacher will give sweets as a reward at the end of the every lesson. Overall experience and service with admin in terms of arranging make up lesson or monthly payment gives me no trouble.

Over the past few months, I have observed frequent changes in the tuition teachers assigned to my child, which has raised serious concerns about the continuity and consistency of my child’s learning experience. This constant turnover makes it difficult for my child to build rapport with a teacher or follow a stable learning plan. In addition, although the centre operates tuition programmes beyond its student care services, the Certificate of Registration of School is not displayed on site. According to MOE guidelines, registered centres are required to display their registration certificate prominently on their premises, so the absence of this document is worrying and leaves parents uncertain about the centre’s compliance and credibility. There have also been recent increases in the price plans, with explanations of the fees that were not very clear. Previously, there were platform fees, but from next year, there will be increased/ additional material fees on top of the existing costs, which were not clearly communicated at the outset. This lack of transparency over the fee structure makes it hard for parents to plan ahead and to feel confident that they are being charged fairly. Given these issues, parents who are considering enrolling their children here should read all terms and conditions very carefully before signing up. As this feedback has been posted on the Ang Mo Kio centre account, we would like to clarify a few factual points for the benefit of parents reading this review. Firstly, we would like to clarify that we do not have any recent withdrawals from our Ang Mo Kio branch associated with the concerns described above. Your child was not enrolled at the Ang Mo Kio centre referenced here. Each StarChamps branch operates with its own team and arrangements, and experiences at one location should not be generalised to others. For transparency, we note that there was a recent withdrawal from our Hougang branch where similar concerns were raised, and we have provided a detailed response to that review, which remains publicly available for parents to view on our Hougang branch Google page. We believe in addressing feedback openly and ensuring that clarifications are accessible to the community. Regarding teacher changes, we acknowledge that your child experienced some adjustments during their time with us. These occurred due to specific circumstances, including a tutor reassignment following feedback that a teacher was not the right fit, as well as an unforeseen departure due to urgent overseas relocation. In each case, changes were made with students’ best interests in mind, and continuity plans were put in place. On the matter of registration documentation, we would like to clarify that we are currently in active discussions with MOE regarding regulatory matters. The absence of a displayed document at this point does not indicate non-compliance. We take regulatory requirements seriously and work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure all requirements are met. With respect to fees, the 2026 fee adjustment of approximately $20–$30 per month was communicated clearly to parents in advance, in October, together with explanations of the revised structure. Parents were given ample notice and flexibility to decide whether to continue. Finally, for clarity, we do not have records of a parent by the name referenced in this review associated with our Ang Mo Kio branch. We believe it is important that feedback posted on a centre’s page accurately reflects actual enrolment and experiences at that specific location. We understand that disagreements can arise when expectations differ. However, we remain committed to transparency, fairness, and working constructively with families who engage with us in good faith.
