COBA COBA REVIEWS
My family finds that this is one of the best Indonesian restaurant in Singapore. Sambals: They have 3 types to choose from. All 3 types very good! There is the nasi lemak style that is sweet. Then there is the belacan style (sambal belacan) that is spicy and fragrance. Then they have a special type that is green with ikan bilis and very spicy. I love the sambal belacan and the green type. Please take note that the green chili finishes quite fast! Lungs Normally we will order the lungs. It is nicely spiced up and with a nice bite to it. There is no gamely smell. Beef Rendang Excellent tenderness and flavour. Chicken They have many types of chicken and each type has it's own unique taste. They use different set of sambals and produces different flavour. I find this very is very good and different from other restaurants where all the different type of cooking all taste the same because all use similar spices! Tahu Goreng Soft and crunchy outside. The sweet sauce used is tasty and not too overpowering.
A queue has already formed at 11:30 leading to a “coffeeshop” nestled in the corner of a HDB block. The air is scented with coconut, red chilies and spices. After ordering, we snag a table under a large fan. Moments later, a massive plate laden with at least 9 dishes and plentiful rice is presented. I recall smooth chicken curry, umami dried fish, fruity red chilies, golden coconut floss with crispy raw bean sprouts and aged tempur being highlights. The only miss were the green chili prawns. While the prawns were good, their accompanying chilis lacked depth and were too salty. Nonetheless, we finished up extremely satisfied. Honestly the Nasi ambeng for two could have fed three. Coba Coba is a rare cultural and culinary gem in Singapore.
The place has a nice Indonesia padang restaurant vibe. The mixed rice is a bit expensive but they taste great. Would recommend to try out the Daun Singkong vegetable option and the Chicken

AYAM PENYET PRESIDENT REVIEWS
Good Malay food if you're looking for it. The Ayam Penyet is part of the name for a reason as it's one of the better ones that I have tasted. A lot of their dishes while seemingly something that you will find in a lot of other restaurants, are cooked well and in a traditional manner. No pizzazz and the food is as authentic as they can get so I really like that they stick to the traditional and real way of prepping the food rather than make it hipster-y and unique. Staff is friendly and the prices are justifiable and within the average price range
Authentic Indonesian food in town! Love it for the Lotek - Mix veggies with Peanut sauce. Such a traditional food that exists in modern food place.
Their Ayam penyet has been consistent. Size is smaller than expected. Prepare to spend $10 at least per pax for a meal. Waiting time for food to be served was around 15mins on a weekday night. Will visit again!

NASI LEMAK AYAM TALIWANG REVIEWS
Ordered Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang for lunch. Also added a fish fillet because I am greedy! Haha! ???? The chicken meat was so tender and it fall off the bone easily! But for someone like me with low tolerance to spice, the chilli was very spicy and I broke out in sweat after a few spoonfuls of it! ???? Overall it’s really a good and tasty Nasi Lemak in Yishun so please consider to give it a try if you are here! ????
Excellent nasi lemak eatery. The quality is one of the best around compared to other popular ones like Crave or Qiji. The rice is especially fragrant and moist. The chicken leg is very tender and tasty. The fish is also very large size and overall for the price, it’s value for money.
I've only eaten at this joint and my review is for this outlet only. I had their set K. They really nail it for their chicken. Grilled chicken that's moist and juicy, but beware of the chili on it. The spiciness kicks in later... But it's so good you can't help but surrender yourself to it even when knowing it'll bite u later! And the staff, they are just.... HAPPY. The positive vibe from the crew just makes eating there a joy!
