BOON TONG KEE REVIEWS
The quality of white chicken here is very good. Other than the chicken rice, many do not know that BTK also serves excellent tze char fare, though its on the pricier side. For hor fun lovers, the dish is a must order here, and be prepared to be blown away by the great tasting wok hei. Don't be scared by the price, the portion is good enough to serve 4 pax. The other branch that maintains its quality would be the one in Balastier.
We came by for lunch on Good Friday holiday. Ordered the signature steam chicken, yam ring with sweet & sour pork and spinach. All dishes were well-executed and flavourful. Service was good at this outlet. Advisable to make a table reservation on weekends for indoor seating. Price was reasonable for the portions. Happy to be back again.
Had a family meal, the service was great and so was the food. I made a booking and good thing I did it because it was soon busy for lunch!

SHANGHAI RENJIA REVIEWS
Nice little place tucked away in a housing estate. Quite popular given the queue before opening hours. Food prices are very reasonable and portions are acceptable for the price. Taste wise, very home cooked feel. The fried spring rolls had a unique ‘wet’ style filling. The Shen Jian Bao really quite nice.
Small little restaurant in Ang Mo Kio which has been around for Many years. Home cooked styled Shanghainese food. Simple yet authentic taste. Owners are from Shanghai who has settled in Singapore for many years. High standard food with reasonable price. Totally worth a try!
Food tastes good. Price is cheap. This is a small family restaurant with 3 persons only. That might be why some people reviewed abt service. Coz they don’t have a lot manpower. But they also don’t charge 19%. And the auntie boss is friendly. So in general worth revisiting.

FIRST CULINARY RESTAURANT REVIEWS
The food is really good. Good ambience for a restaurant to be situated in an educational institution. I love the flavour of the food and one of the better orh nee yam paste dessert. Will go again. So good that we left nothing behind. The crab is not their best dish though. I will omit the crab. The sauce is good, the problem is the size of the crab. Not big enough. Opt for bigger size crab should solve the problem.
Authentic way of serving the food. Everything tasted great. Love the Zhen Jiang Pork Ribs, sweet and flavourful with tiny pineapple cubes. Brinjal was good too. Chilled herbal jelly dessert was loved by the elders. Staff are on the ball, alert and responsive even during the lunch peak hour.
Honestly a hidden gem! Food items on the menu are pretty pricey but they always have promotion on Special dishes like Peking Duck, chilli crabs which make the visit a fairly sweet deal. I love the KL-styled char siew and Peking duck. Definitely worth a try!
