JOO SIAH BAK KOOT TEH REVIEWS
Easily one of our favourite Bak Ku Teh stalls to visit in SG. Savoury pepper broth with hints of garlic (thankfully not too strong). The pork ribs were tender, organs were clean and cooked to perfection (just don’t leave it in the broth too long to prevent it from overcooking). Special mention to the peanuts, which were exceptionally soft and tasted like it was braised from scratch, instead of store-bought canned peanuts. We also had BuZhiXiang tea that went paired well with the meal.
Bak Kut Teh (SGD $13.90) @ Joo Siah Bak Koot Teh. . Serving their signature peppery garlicky savoury soup for over 30 years, their rendition isn't quite as potent as other brands, but is certainly appetizing and drinkable. . The pork ribs are tender enough to come off the bones easily, but have a chew, with meaty savoury sweet peppery flavour. . The preserved mustard greens are nicely soft stewed, with a slight tangy note to complement the vegetal savoury sweet flavour . Dunk the hot crisp pourous you tiao / dough fritters in to soak up the soup; refills of the delicious broth can be had over the counter. . Among the best BKT in West Singapore, and well deserving of their Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore 2021 recognition.
The bkt in the coffee shop, and in the nearby hawker center is another good bkt. Also just walking distance from chinese garden mrt. The bkt is peppery and serving is above average. A 10 dollar dish that is worth it.

LAO ER BAK KUT TEH REVIEWS
Visited on a Saturday evening. Most people make reservations before going. We went there with available seats without the need to reserve. They have chicken rice and bak kut teh. Most people ordered the bak kut teh. They have dry and wet versions. The soup can be topped up if you want more soup. The shop is nicely renovated and the staff is friendly. Price is generally affordable around $20 per pax as we ordered side dishes.
Comfortable and spacious interior, suitable for families with kids. I personally prefer the white peppery Bah Kut Teh soup over the herbal one. There is a huge variety of options for diners. The chicken rice set was pretty good too. Reasonable price.
Tried the curry fish tail. Very nice ???? the herbal ba kut teh also bagus!!! Salted veg and tau ki is a great compliment to the dishes served. 10/10 greatly recommended :) Will come again soon ?? Hidden gem with delicious fried rice and bak kut teh. Will return again.

HUA XING BAK KUT TEH REVIEWS
This is the famous brown BKT store in Yuhua (the other one serves a white recipe). The soup was nicely peppery and deep tasting and the peanut broth was nice. The meat was nicely chewy (not the soft type) and had Q. It was a very busy shop but the service was good.
For a shared meal, I would highly recommend their steam fish (grouper). Ate their steam fish every time we visited this market. Fish were very fresh and reasonably priced. Usually sold out by 1.30pm, so advisable to call them to reserve.
I didn't have the bkt but I tried the pig kidney and liver. Tender and soft, and in thick big pieces. Confirm will go back for this again.
