Deerland Pre-school Montessori

My experience from the start with Deerland has been wonderful. We had visited multiple childcares before we decided with Deerland. Although there were newer and “more fancy” facilities out there (indoor gym for our very non-physical toddler), we felt a sense of comfort and “hominess” with Deerland that we did not feel on our visits to other childcares. The Principal and VP exudes a warmth that we have felt nowhere else. Dropping your child off is always difficult, but when you are leaving them in the care of someone like Ms Ngwee, Mrs Tan and Teacher Wati, you feel reassured knowing your child is probably in better hands. My boy clearly feels the love and warmth from his teachers ( including Auntie Joyce , who always cook nutritious foods ) , which is invaluable as a parent. It is hard to trust others to care for your children, especially infants, when you wish as a parent you could do it yourself. But I have been so happy with their care, and have watched my boy grow, develop and thrive.?The teachers are very receptive to request ( medications ) before drop-off, and always follow up on any concerns.

My two kids really enjoy going to school at Deerland. We joined Deerland since my older boy was around 10 months old - we transferred him from another school as he kept falling sick in the previous one. And of course, when our daughter came along, she also joined Deerland. My kids (as well as us parents) really like the educators. The principal Ms Ngwee and all the teachers are great - they know each child’s personality and strengths, are patient with the kids, and they have a strong relationship with parents. Their smaller class size also means there is a better teacher-student ratio which we like, and they have weaved Montessori curriculum for a few levels including my son’s class (N1) since earlier this year. The school may not seem grand from the outside, but inside it is a tight-knit family filled with love and fun learning.
