2026 Update: In 1982, the temple was relocated to its present site in Potong Pasir, and preparatory work began to lay the foundations for construction in 1985. In 1987, sculptors, architects, and skilled craftsmen were brought in from India to undertake the temple’s construction. The Maha Kumbabishegam was subsequently held on 21 January 1991."
