Staff are polite and will refill your tea for you. Food is actually better than I expected. I came at 2.30 pm for the off peak menu - $6.9 for curry don and tea. Probably positioned as a family restaurant - no date vibes, but quite a homely feel.

RAMEN TAISHO REVIEWS
Amazing black garlic tonkutsu broth - very rich and flavourful, without being too salty. Egg and meat was pretty good quality too, although egg wasnt very runny. Love the free flow spicy taugay as well! Overall really good experience. Food came very fast as well.
Ramen taisho was actually recommended to me by my Japanese colleague when I asked him which ramen shop that he liked best in Tanjong Pagar(while they were still in Maxwell). Happy to see that they have made a come back in Bukit Batok, quality still good and the free flow roasted barley tea is a nice additional touch. Remember to add the roasted garlic flakes into your soup for an added crunchy umami flavour.
Ordered the shio ramen EX. EX came with extra 2 pcs of different meat, and half an egg. I though was quite okay for the top up. The broth was thick and savoury. I drank all the soup. Didnt really feel thirsty after that. The chicken kaarage was taste different from other japanese restaurant, in a good way. The meat was tender and juicy. The sesame sauce tofu the sauce was also different. There is also spicy beansprout for you to take. Overall worth it!

MENYA KOKORO GRAB TO GO REVIEWS
My hubby bought some food back home from Menya Kokoro at Le Quest. I was surprised at the quality of food as I wasn't aware of Menya Kokoro's background back then. I really enjoyed the ramen and the bento sets. The karaage was huge and juicy, and there were 4 pieces. The beef bento was also really good. The side dishes like the potato salad was really good too. We had the mazesoba too which was also really delicious. I'm not a fan of mazesoba but I thought that the quality was really excellent. They had little bottles of vinegar, broth and soya sauce too. Overall very good quality of Japanese food.
Take note this store here seems to have no dine in option. But their mazemen ramen is awesome, same taste as the franchise I had in Japan
I tried the Aka Spicy Ramen and the Original Mazesoba (daily sets @ $9.50) and they were really very good! Everything is packed nicely and the food was good as well. Will definitely continue to patronise
