Anjappar at Changi Airport is tucked away at a quiet corner of Terminal 1. It is a small outlet that sits no more than 10-15 tables. Service on a weekday evening was fast as it was relatively quiet. Tables are large and seating is comfortable. A hand washing area is available for use in-house. Now to the food. It is simply excellent. My party of two ordered a vegetarian biryani, chicken biryani, prata and palak paneer. It was a feast and cost approximately $50. Portions were huge and the flavours were absolutely amazing. Personally, I never thought curries could all taste so different yet amazing. The biryani in particular is packed full of flavour and had a good hint of spiciness. The mango lassi was a good balance between sweet and sour. It was well mixed and helped cut through the cloy form the oil based curries.
Right place to visit for South Indian dishes. Anjappar is a famous restaurant in Tamilnadu. They maintain the same quality in the airport too. A group of people take breakfast and dinner in the same restaurant on different days. The dishes are yummy. We have tasted only vegetarian food.
Wow!!! Really good airport food. Chicken texture is amazingly on point. Curry is deliciously rich. The parotos are also chewy & delicious.
