Great place to have afternoon tea in a quiet and relax ambience. The Pork chop sandwich is fantastic, the kaya butter toast is deliciously toast to crispness with butter oozing out. Parking used to be free and easy but not anymore. Patrons must take note to park only on the right side of the road which are nearer to the shops and not at the left side (double yellow lines). Parking warden very active.

Consistently good. Best boiled eggs that are not overcooked. Friendly staff. Unique Singapore rail themed decor, in recognition of the history of its location . Free roadside parking but limited. Can get very crowded on weekends.

One of the places where I can get a reliably good cuppa tea. I love the tea, which is never too siap (dry?) but smooth on the palate. My usual order is a teh dilok siew dai jia si (tea straight up, no added water, less sweet with additional evaporated milk - complicated order I know - try it some time!) and it takes real skill to balance the milkiness (less sweet means less condensed milk, so the guy needs to know how to make up for it with the evaporated milk - not too much not too little), and the dilok without making it too overpowering.
