Traditional bakery that produces delightful old school bakes. I have tried 3 flavours of their tau sar piah - salty, sweet and yam. I love them all. Bought La Piah for my parents and they find it nice and not too sweet. Staff are all friendly and patient. Would definitely patronise and pick up some piahs from them when I am around Chinatown.
It's mid autumn season. Bought a box of 4 sweet bean paste bing at 25.00 and a big salted bean paste bing 25.80 . The small salted bing sold out too fast.
I visited Poh Guan Cake House on 4th January 2025, around 10 am, and was delighted to find this traditional biscuit shop tucked right in front of Hong Lim Food Centre and beside Chinatown Point.
