Xin Ming Road Bak Kut Teh

Finally trying them again after they’ve moved over to its current location at Kola Food Centre. A little inaccessible if you aren’t traveling by car and unfamiliar with the area, but the food is totally worth the trip. Delicious flavorful soup that’s neither too peppery nor too bland. Tender pork ribs that peel off easily, yet still fleshy enough and full of flavor to give the mouth the satisfaction of chewing into them. The fritters were crispy and goes perfectly with the soup, and the braised peanuts were delicious! Not forgetting the soy sauce chili which is a great complement! It’s thick, salty, and if it isn’t spicy enough, a bite into one of the chili padi will do the trick! At $22 for both of us, this is a very reasonable cost of $11 per pax. The portion is very generous given its cost (we each had 4-5 ribs!), and of course as with most bak kut teh stalls in Singapore, the soup is refillable. Definitely worth the trip back again, and its most value for money when you bring friends along to share the sides! Hehe.

The food is beautifully presented and tastes even better than it looks—rich, flavorful, and made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The menu offers a range of options to suit various tastes and dietary needs, ensuring everyone feels included.

Came with the wife for dinner after work. Soup was flavourful and pepperish without being too salty. Just nice for our palate. Their braised fried beancurd skin was also on point. Staff were also attentive to top up the soup. Highly recommended for those who prefer a less salty option to BKT.
