"Former House of Tan Teng Niah is the last surviving Chinese villa. The building has 8 rooms and a 5-foot way. The House features a gilded nameplate and richly carved pintu pagar above the entrance door with an inscription of Siew Song. The building was built by Towkay (Chinese businessman) Tan Teng Niah in 1900. Tan Teng Niah is believed to have built the House for his wife. The House was conserved and restored in the 1980s. Former House of Tan Teng Niah is listed on the Little India Heritage Trail. The House offers a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, and convenient on-site services. They also provide a family-friendly environment that is good for kids.
