Optics Today

The gentleman in this optical shop in Queensway Shopping Centre is Ken. For a few months now, my spectacles have been missing a nose pad. It was made in Pasir Ris last December and short of going all the way there to get it fixed, from time to time we would drop by different optical shops to ask if they could help. Understandably though, most shops were not invested much in helping me as I was not a returning customer. Or they just knew they didn’t have the parts. One or two would just politely turn me away without inspecting the pair of spectacles. Well, to Ken, I was neither a returning nor a new customer. He immediately took it from me and spent a good ten minutes trying different nose pads before ambling away to the shop next door and disappeared for another five to ten minutes before returning with it fixed! He actually took a nose pad from an existing unsold pair and chose to help affix it to mine. He didn’t want to charge me much for it, and claimed he’s just happy to fiddle with it. His was a small shop (smaller than the many many others in Queensway) and yet he gave up his time so generously.

Seller was very helpful in giving me information on the specs that I need during this CB period. My specs and contact lenses were delivered on time. reasonable price too. very satisfied with the service. highly recommend.
