A+1 Dial-a-Locksmith

We called him around dinner time on Sunday evening due to an accidental locked bedroom problem with no key outside. He arrived promptly. Very professional and resolved it promptly. Reasonable pricing too.

Highly recommended! Gary is very experienced and creative in solving the issue. Fast response and reliable. Appreciate his advice on my lock features too.

Called on Fri morning due to locked bedroom door. He arrived within 20 mins to resolve the issue. Much appreciated!

I contacted Gary after my condo management provided his contact for a mailbox lock issue. Before the visit, I explained the problem, sent a photo and a video, and asked whether the lock could be repaired without replacement and what the expected cost breakdown would be, including any call-out fee. I also provided my address. He only told me that he does not do repairs and would replace the lock for $100, without giving any breakdown. When he arrived, it turned out that the lock was not faulty at all. The mailbox simply needed to be pushed while turning the key. He opened it within seconds, no repair or replacement was needed, and I was charged $80. I understand that there may be a call-out or service fee, which is exactly why I had asked about it beforehand, but the $80 charge was never clearly communicated to me. I also got the impression that my messages may not have been read carefully. For example, I had already provided my address in the message, but he asked me for the address again. This made me wonder whether my questions about the price breakdown and call-out fee, as well as the video I sent, had been properly reviewed. Given that the issue turned out to be extremely simple and I had already sent a video showing the problem and asked detailed questions, I would have appreciated clearer advice, more careful communication, and more transparent pricing before the visit. - Angela Reply
