Sri Manmatha Karuneshvarar Temple

Om Namah Shivay. This is a truly divine temple built in the late 1800s/early 1900s by Shri Velu Pillai (bless his great soul). One could instantly connect here with the almighty. In addition to the deities inside on the exterior there is a Shiva lingam on the exterior top. So even if your’re passing by on the Kallang Road / temple is closed, can join hands to worship the greatest Lord Shiva, during MahaShivratri there are many proceedings and otherwise too there are rituals done here. Truly Amazing to see this in Singapore and the administration preserving the structure and maintaining it to near perfection

Peaceful and well-kept. Beautiful Sivalingams. Early mornings are great. Accessible parallel parking by the temple. Wheelchair access to the temple is by the ramp on the side where the parking lots are. One of those temples that has retained the feel' of ancient temples without the intrusion of modern architecture. History of the temple dates back to 1900. Kallang Gasworks Sivan Temple is a must go.

Nice place of worship. Only other temple to be standing from its original architecture and cemented statues.

I like worshipping at this temple as it retains south Indian tradition.I hope they will extend its lease it is SG 2 nd oldest temple - Siva V Reply
