“Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple was marked by a solitary female devotee in 1830 who placed an image of Amman beneath a banyan tree near the current temple site. Sri Vinayakar, Muruga, and Ambaal serve as the principal deities of the temple. The transformation into a fully-fledged temple occurred under the initiative of Mr Rengasamy Mooriyar, who financed the consecration ceremony with the retirement savings. The Aadi Urchavam Festival features a procession of Ambal in a bullock cart to Sri Manmathan Temple at Potong Pasir. In 1994, temple volunteers established a registered society, playing a pivotal role in its management. The temple consistently draws many devotees alongside the renowned Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir. The temple calendar meticulously outlines events such as Yagna and Homams, with significant festivals including Chandi Homam, Lakshmi Kubera Homam, Periyachi Moolamanthira Homam, Periyachi Poojai, Aadi Urchavam, Aadi Velli, Thai Velli, Rama Navami Urchavam, and Hanumanth Jayanthi Urchavam.
