Slightly out of the way for most people not working or staying in the west. But it is still a worthwhile drive for the very good curry fish head and sambal stingray dish. The Michelin Bib fish soup is a must try.
Love this BBQ stall... Seeing the hot spicy sizzling hotplate, with generous amount of aromatic sambal splattered on top of the fish.... heavenly to the senses!

JURONG WEST 505 MARKET & FOOD CENTRE REVIEWS
Super good journey to the market! My very first trip to Singapore to visit my husband's relatives. Omg I lm totally in love with the food in the market. I have tried Lei cha, Mee hoon kuey, kaya bread, chee cheong fan...and others but foget to take photo all Hope my review did help you guys first time travelling to Singapore please your sweet tooth with the right places to eat amongst choices. Definitely big shout out for the food here and I'm sure to come back here every now and then!
The market and hawkers centre started to be very crowded after 8.30 am. The passage between the stalls in the wet market is too narrow to walk as some residents were blocking with their trolleys. In addition, the stalls have extended their goods outwards, thus narrowing the walkways. The good about the market is the price of seafood, meats, vegetables etc were competitive. Foods in the hawkers centre were delicious and affordable. Look forward to going to the place every weekend.
Steam chicken rice is very good. Rice not too oily. chicken is well cooked and soup is clean and good tasting. three Wow! Recommended.

BOON LAY PLACE MARKET AND FOOD VILLAGE REVIEWS
The food here is generally good. I liked the Penang Prawn Mee - my favourite breakfast meal, the fish ball noodles (long queue and sold out quite fast), the Ngoh Hiang (Prawn Cracker) store (bee hoon is quite good), the satay (night time). Coffee is generally good but the prices ranged from $1.10 to $1.30 (Kopi O), and the standards vary - my favourite is the one at the corner near the other car park entrance but you may need to wait (old lady making the coffee). Good place to find a great meal.
Good variety of foods here. You will never leave without one of your liking. Nearby has nice bakery shops. Also you can find hardware stalls here. Overall, satay and rojak was good. Hokkien mee was cooked by young chap and I was hoping it can be better with an old school taste. Missed to take photo of the soya bean but I can firmly say is one the best I tried.
I wanted to have something light and ate carrot cake. It's very tasty and not oily like the rest. The only set back at Boon lay are the sitting arrangements. Time for a TOTAL REVAMP...
