Enjoying the hustle and bustle of a typical heartland neighbourhood on Saturday morning. Though I lived nearby I was often in efficient mode and did not explore the neighborhoods nearby. There are many kopitiams nearby the cc and each comes with its own unique crowd. For example, the youtiao and butterfly bun were freshly fried on the spot and the kopitiam we were (one of many from Kimly chain) also saw crowds queueing for the fried carrot cake and also fried bee hoon and Ngoh Hiang. I tried the dry wanton noodles as this was also v popular with the crowd. Market was bustling and bought two sets of National Day tees! Nice way to spend your weekend if you want to catch a typical neighbourhood in Singapore. Easily accessible by mrt, lrt and buses which serve this old community centre! Drop by if you are in the hood! There should be sufficient parking nearby in HDB too!

Twice i have come down here for the NDP enquiries and help, the staff who helped me especially the tall uncle wearing glasses with a deep voice, at the counter- he is really friendly and helpful. Best staff. Anything look for him! I highly recommend.
