A wonderful temple is very different from others in Singapore. The large hall is reminiscent of daibutsuden in Japan and is fresh and quiet with light music and filled with many rows of padded kneelers. No incense is allowed inside the hall, enhancing the serene atmosphere different from other temple halls in Singapore. A massive floor-to-ceiling Buddha and Guanyin dominate the front wall. Traditional musical instruments surround the hall. Multiple structures are outside the main hall - drum tower, bell tower and pagoda with it's own deity figures. In addition to no incense in the great hall, shoes must also remain outside.
Beautiful temple. The Kwan Yin statue in the main shrine hall is simply stunning. A wonderful Chan (Zen) temple in the heart of Singapore.
Great Buddhist Monastery, Very pleasing environment for prayer. You will instantly love it. There is a pagoda in the temple compound.
