“Sheng Hong Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Jurong East, tracing its origins back to 1926. Notably, the temple acquired its statue of Cheng Huang Ye directly from Cheng Huang Miao in Anxi, Fujian, China. Its walls are vivid depictions from the Ten Courts of Hell, portraying the ten Yama Kings and Hell guards administering punishments. As the community flourished over the years, urban redevelopment prompted the temple's relocation. However, the temple's serene and secluded setting provides visitors and devotees with a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere conducive to prayer and meditation. This exquisitely designed Buddhist sanctuary showcases an array of impressive statues, contributing to its elegance and spiritual ambience.
