Sheng Hong Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Jurong East, tracing its origins back to 1926. Notably, the temple acquired its statue of Cheng Huang Ye directly from Cheng Huang Miao in Anxi, Fujian, China. Its walls are vivid depictions from the Ten Courts of Hell, portraying the ten Yama Kings and Hell guards administering punishments. As the community flourished over the years, urban redevelopment prompted the temple's relocation. However, the temple's serene and secluded setting provides visitors and devotees with a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere conducive to prayer and meditation. This exquisitely designed Buddhist sanctuary showcases an array of impressive statues, contributing to its elegance and spiritual ambience.

BUKIT TIMAH SEU TECK SEAN TONG REVIEWS
A temple where chinese pray for their ancestors. Usually crowded during the festive seasons. Prepare food to offer the loved ones you are praying and to reasonable additional charges are imposed when buying certain items for praying. Its a small bustling area where many would pray at. The atmosphere is solemn during off peak. Not really for tourists unless you want to learn more about chinese culture. Its self service.
