Mangala Vihara Buddhist Temple was established by the late Tripitakacarya Sri Saddharma Vagisvara Upsddhayaya M M Mahaweera Maha Nayaka Thero. The temple was developed further in the current location donated by the late Madam Chew Quee Neo in 1959. Mangala Vihara Buddhist Temple features Shrine Hall along with the kitchen, honorary treasurer’s, and secretary’s rooms on the ground floor. The second-floor houses lecture-cum-library hall and the Sangha (Monks) quarters. The temple welcomes all members and devotees to meditate at the shrine hall during the opening hours of the temple. Dhamma Classes available in the temple every Sunday from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon. Free meditation and pali chanting classes are also available for the devotees to make use of.
