Katong Sin Chew

One of the oldest old school cake shop available here. Most famous curry bun is here with many different flavours like yam, hotdog. Many creamy cakes as well. Curry buns only available from 1.30pm onwards. Most of the buns are large in size. Other confectionery you probably have to buy 2 buns to fill up your stomach but here one is enough.

Went pass this vintaged looking bakery in Bedok and saw a long snake queue with people buying their curry buns as they just came out of the oven. Decided to join in and get some. Oh my goodness, it was so good! The bun is so soft and the curry is very sweet and savoury at the same time! Very fluffy and flavourful. Regretted I didnt get more. When I turn back to get more after eating 1, it was sold out! Sold out in less than 15 mins! Grrrr...

Very friendly staff selling cakes, bread etc. The birthday cake was very soft and not too sweet. Very lovely are also the various slices of cakes on the shelves. Kept in the fridge also very delicate. Highly recommended. Our first visit.
