A very spacious park in the central area of Singapore with large open space. It has historical and political significance as well. The chairs around the park were useful for me to simply sit and relax when I was staying at a hostel nearby.
A nice and big park that can be used to hold gatherings and events for Singaporeans. It is also known as the Speakers Corner locally. People can gather around here for a talk or to hold peaceful protest, and let their voices be heard, if they are unhappy about something. :) pinkdot is held here yearly.
Nice little oasis in the middle of busy china town - raffles - clarke quay area. This is the only place where people in Singapore can assemble for a cause after taking necessary permissions from the police I hear.
