“Kallang Riverside Park offers diverse sports and recreational activities alongside views of the Kallang River. The 7-hectare park has fitness equipment, water sports facilities, and jogging and cycling tracks. The park provides endless hours of enjoyment both on land and in water. Kallang Gas Holder is a special feature of the park, constructed in 1862 as the first site dedicated to the manufacture of street lighting gas from coal. Kallang Riverside Park is also home to smooth-coated otters, Coccoloba, and migratory birds such as little egrets and grey herons. An allotment garden is also available at the park. You can also practise dragon boating or canoeing on the Kallang River at Stadium Link. The park has an open hard court beside the Singapore Dragon Boat ramp at the stadium link, which is available for booking. Kallang Riverside Park has designated fishing zones that allow anglers to cast their rods to hook their next big catch.”
