North Spring Primary School

This school is a great place for learning. The teachers there are very nice, caring, understanding and they often strive their students to achieve great marks. As I had just graduated from this school, I can say that this school is a great school to enrol your child in. The facilities are upgrading and are becoming satisfactory. The teachers there set a great example to the students in the school. When North Springers are crossing the road, they would raise their hand up to alert the drivers that they are crossing the road. This is a great habit to practise and it is all because the teachers were the one who set a good example to them. This school also gives many opportunities to students who want to strive in leadership. Every prefect would have the chance to participate in recess duties/morning duties which would contribute to their conduct grade. In Primary 6, many opportunities are given to prefects to build their leadership portfolio if they want to DSA to a secondary school of their choice. For example, in Primary 6, I was given a chance to be a part of one of the school’s programmes and I am very grateful for it as I had greatly improved my conduct grade. This school also gives a lot of opportunities for every North Springer to present something to the whole school for the first time. For example, every SMILE Friday, there would be at least 2 emcees explaining what the SMILE Friday fruit is and it’s benefits. Though all schools have pro and cons.. I felt this school was balanced, we have two kids going here.They do what the best they can with the resources and most teachers are very encouraging and help the kids to bring out their talents. Though at times could have been better but most of it is due to the way the whole educational system is set up here in Singapore. Especially around selection kids for different activities etc are very "secretive" and are not flexible to the interest of the individuals. But as I said its not isolated to this school, whole system in Singapore is "rigged" to be like that and will take longtime for it to change and its happening now.

This school was the best. I used to go here and I made many friends. The teachers are nice and it doesn't give you much stress. If you go to this school, you would be very happy! I miss going here.
