Amazing Star Montessori House (Sk2)

Amazing Star has been a second home to our 3 children for a decade. As they say, home is where the heart is. And there is plenty of heart amongst the dear teachers of Amazing Star. We have seen our kids mature from precocious toddlers to a girl and 2 boys well equipped to deal with the challenges of primary school. The foundation of their learning was laid in Amazing Star with the Montessori curriculum and hands-on teaching methods, imbibing them with a sense of curiosity. The emphasis on reading and presenting also resulted in articulate speech and a wider appreciation of the world beyond the confines of the classroom. We can’t thank the teachers enough through every stage of our children's pre-primary education. The efforts of the dedicated teachers Sharon, Michelle and Devi for the K2 cohorts are well appreciated, and special shout outs to teachers Jasline, Amy and ??? who have been ever present throughout our children’s decade with Amazing Star. We often look to them for updates on their progress, where their care and concern for the children shine through. Never did we think that this kindergarten tucked away in a corner of Sengkang would give us and our children so much joy. We are truly grateful for their support and the partnership in nurturing our children.

My children have been to a few prechools and we have had the best experience with Amazing Stars so far! This is a school that truly cares for the well being and development of the kids in their care. It feels like home. The curriculum is holistic and I like it. The children in this centre are well mannered and loving towards one another. My toddler has improved tremendously ever since she came here. At her previous school, the teachers said that she did not know anything and could not learn well. However, with Teacher Amy's and lao shi's love and patience, she has improved so much in a short span of time in terms of self help and communication skills. She can even recognise some phonics sounds now! Teacher Amy is very experienced and we can feel her passion and love for the children when we speak to her. She believes that every child develops differently and tries her best to teach and help my child. My child always speaks fondly of all her teachers, including Teacher Aira and Teacher Jas, even during the weekends or holidays.

I was invited to the centre s year end concert this year.. I was impressed by how the students' performances and the way they delivered speeches in both English and Chinese. I believe this is results of dedicated teachers teaching.
