SUN WITH MOON REVIEWS
Always happy eating here! Food was amazing, and so was the presentation. It has always been great for the last few years. Glad to know the food is always consistent. Sadly, the restaurant was understaffed but the staff still managed to remain calm and cheery while serving us. It was honestly hard given the long queue and the lack of tables cleared. Still, the food alone, and staff’s friendliness made the experience good!
The hotpot is worth to try and the sushi roll is delicious. the cinnamon ginger tea, it was surprisingly good. I was expected to leave the restaurant at 6.45pm when I walk in at 5.40pm. However, the manager of the store is nice, when we ask if we could extend the duration at 6.35pm, he immediately help us check and told us that he have help us extend the timing to 7.30pm as there are still space available.
The food was amazing, tasty and colourful. With a widespread of food, drinks and desserts, you are definitely spoilt for choice. Although we were seating at the counter area, the waiters and waitresses are consistently polite and attentive to all our needs. It's a 5 star customer service here! We will definitely come back for more in the future..

Nanbantei is an old-school restaurant specialising in skewered dishes and has served for almost 40 years of authentic Japanese yakitori. It is located in Far East Plaza. The eatery's interiors are quaint and have the vibes of the older generation of Japanese restaurants, such as Nijumaru Izakaya in Cuppage or the most senior Shashlik Restaurant. The restaurant constantly innovates with seasonal and unique ingredients freshly shipped from Japan. Nanbantei offers a wide selection of a la carte skewered meats, seafood and vegetables, and many bento sets. They are famous for their grilled-over charcoal. They have two convenient locations in the Heart of the City.

NANBANTEI REVIEWS
Awesome Japanese Yakitori Bar in Far East Plaza. Right next door to Grand Hyatt Hotel where I was staying so easy walk to the restaurant. Had some excellent chicken, pork and Wagyu Beef Skewers. All perfectly seasoned. I sat at the counter which is best place to sit to watch the chefs cook the Skewers over the hot charcoal coals. Lovely staff providing great service. They have Tiger beer on tap but I went with a Japanese Asahi beer in the bottle. Excellent dining experience.
The food here is so good. Ordering the bento sets are worth it, 8 sticks for about $17 served with rice and miso soup. The mentaiko cheese mochi was so cheesy and chewy, really yum! Also ordered some ala carte yakitori, well grilled and perfect seasoning. Really very delicious and we really enjoyed our meal here. Staffs are friendly and helpful to accommodate to our needs. Really a high standard Japanese restaurant. May need to do reservations online on weekends unless you willing to come early at the opening time. Also recommended to request for inside seats if don’t want to have bbq smell after dining.
Has been their customers for over 18 years. Their bento and waygu don was the best. You can try bonchiri (chicken backside) which is highly addictive. Sakura ebi was nice to go with beer for dessert, try the grilled mochi.

UYA JAPANESE UNAGI RESTAURANT REVIEWS
Very nice ambience and cosy restaurant. The center piece attraction brings out the uniqueness of this place. The unagi is delicious soft, tender and fleshy. I agree with some customer that it lacks the smokey taste and is really not that sweet. But I believe Japanese food is all about balance. The sashimi was fresh and affordable. Really love the Japanese pepper. The aroma is so fragrant and it leave a slight numbness to your tongue at the end. Every mouthful I put a dash of that pepper. When I open my mouth, the fragrant went straight to my nose. After the meat, the aroma still lingers in your mouth. Very likeable after taste. Service is very efficient. Every staff are well train and patience. Would be back to try the other dishes.
There was a 1 hour wait when we reached at 12.05 on a Saturday but all the items we ordered were great! Sashimi was fresh and tasty with freshly grated wasabi. Fish skin was thin and very crisp unlike the thick breaded Irvin's kind typically used elsewhere. Unagi was grilled in house with slightly crisp skin and was very flavourful without being drenched in sauce. Tempura was crisp and tasty. Rice was good quality Niigata rice, sides and soup all were good. No complaints at all, would definitely come back again.
Saw a mini queue when I got there at 12pm (wed), got a table in 5 mins. Friendly and attentive staff. I like that the sauce was minimal and just enough to complement the unagi instead of drowning it. Heard the guy next to me asking for more sauce, so I guess it depends on individual preference. Enjoyed the grilled livers, great taste and texture.
