The temple stood at its original location for over 100 years before recently being relocated to Sungei Kadut. The temple is running various projects to help the needy. 2026 Update: Sri Arasakesari Sivan Temple was the only Hindu temple in Singapore with a Siva shrine that included a ceremonial pond. Sri Arasakesari Sivan Temple serves as both a place of worship and a community hub for Hindus. The temple is renowned for hosting the Aadi Ammavasai festival, during which devotees perform special prayers and offerings to their ancestors, as well as Maha Shivaratri, a celebration honoring Lord Shiva."
