Russian Ballet Academy

I was a little anxious starting ballet at the age of 32, thinking that the other students would be much younger than me and that I wouldn’t be able to fully understand ballet. But I realized there were students of all ages, some older than me. Many like me (over the past 9 years) have continued with classes at the Russian Ballet academy until today. Despite my lack of strength and flexibility, our instructor, Meiyi is still so passionate and patient with me (and all of us). That makes me want to do better each time and my appreciation for ballet grows too. I see that she’s also great with children and their lines are so beautiful. It’s great having a teacher who is able to understand and communicate with all ages, passionate and able to help each of us learn and enjoy our classes.

Superb teacher teaching the Vaganova style of ballet - patient, detailed and demonstrates each n every step fully. Classes are well planned and work every part of the body equally, so injuries are minimised. Thank u to teacher Meiyi.
