Enveloped in a serene and secluded setting, this temple offers devotees and visitors a tranquil space for prayer and meditation. Within its walls, resident monks chant mantras and extend prayers to all who seek solace in this sacred space. Throughout its history, the temple has undergone various reconstructions and renovations, culminating in its present structure, erected in 1968 and inaugurated by the then-Prime Minister, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. In 1995, Poo Thor Jee was integrated into the library and arts culture centre. Visitors and devout attendees have acclaimed this temple as a haven for discovering inner peace.
