Wat Ananda Metyarama Thai Buddhist Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist temples located in Bukit Merah. This temple was founded by Venerable Luang Phor Hong Dhammaratano (Phra Dhammaratano Bandit). It is also the oldest Theravada Buddhist tradition temple in Singapore. This temple celebrates the 'Thai festival' as a famous event, where hundreds of people from all over the country. Wat Ananda Metyarama Thai Buddhist Temple features a beautiful main shrine room with stunning paintings of the Buddha's life story. The temple also houses monk's abode, dhamma hall and meditation hall, cultural centre (museum), dining hall, and rest area (open for public).
