"Alapana was founded as Alapana arts in Singapore by Mrs R.Banumathy. Their every lesson are approximately 50 minutes. The music school conducts Ensemble Workshops to focus on group interaction, sound recognition, timekeeping, reading and understanding of notated version of ensemble scripts with stylistic interpretation. Students are also taught about the interaction of producer, songwriter, engineer, etc., in the Studio Music Technique and Record-Your-Performance project."

"In August 2000, as an informal group of young and emerging artists in Singapore, SYAMA (Society of Youth for Artistic Music Appreciation) was founded. Syama's vision is to see the next generation of Singaporeans carrying the tradition and culture of Indian classical music. It has three qualified teachers to provide imparting training. You can avail individual, group lessons, and both formal and informally structured syllabus. SYAMA also supports major music and dance productions."
