Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple was marked by a solitary female devotee in 1830 who placed an image of Amman beneath a banyan tree near the current temple site. Sri Vinayakar, Muruga, and Ambaal serve as the principal deities of the temple. The transformation into a fully-fledged temple occurred under the initiative of Mr Rengasamy Mooriyar, who financed the consecration ceremony with the retirement savings. The Aadi Urchavam Festival features a procession of Ambal in a bullock cart to Sri Manmathan Temple at Potong Pasir. In 1994, temple volunteers established a registered society, playing a pivotal role in its management. The temple consistently draws many devotees alongside the renowned Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir. The temple calendar meticulously outlines events such as Yagna and Homams, with significant festivals including Chandi Homam, Lakshmi Kubera Homam, Periyachi Moolamanthira Homam, Periyachi Poojai, Aadi Urchavam, Aadi Velli, Thai Velli, Rama Navami Urchavam, and Hanumanth Jayanthi Urchavam. The temple boasts shrines dedicated to various Hindu deities, and its entranceway is adorned with intricate idol decorations.

SRI VADAPATHIRA KALIAMMAN TEMPLE REVIEWS
I am very impressed with the temple. Some of the lesser known deities are situated here. The priests are great, they don't only perform the prayers for you but they tend to teach you, how and why they perform specific prayers, i've come across where some of them would give you some sort of quiz to enlighten you on further knowledge on the deities you pray to, practices, customs etc.
When there during Vinagar Chaturthi. It was great as I was on time for the Prayers. The whole Pooja was just good. After the prayers there was food provided. The food was really nice. All the priest was nice and friendly.
There are no tickets that need to be bought to enter. Quiet place with a lot of food eateries and shops nearby. Ideal place during off peak hours.

The Sri Manmatha Karuneeswarar Temple is one of Kallang's time-honoured and culturally rich temples, venerating Lord Shiva. Established on January 1, 1888, this sacred site consistently draws devotees from Singapore and various regions of India. Navratri celebrations take on a unique significance at this temple, where devotees eagerly seek the blessings of Lord Shiva, Ganesh, Murugan, Prumaa, Parvathi, and Durgai Amma. Lord Shiva, revered for his roles as creator, preserver, destroyer, concealer of sins, and bestower of blessings, is the focal point of devotion. The temple hosts the Rahu Kalam Prayer dedicated to Goddess Durga, typically observed on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. A.V. Irullappa Pillay, V. Pakirisamy Pillai, and V. Narayanasamy Pillai generously funded the temple's reconstruction in honour of their late father, responding to the heartfelt requests of Hindu devotees.

Peaceful and well-kept. Beautiful Sivalingams. Early mornings are great. Accessible parallel parking by the temple. Wheelchair access to the temple is by the ramp on the side where the parking lots are. One of those temples that has retained the feel' of ancient temples without the intrusion of modern architecture. History of the temple dates back to 1900. Kallang Gasworks Sivan Temple is a must go.

The Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, one of Singapore's oldest sacred sites, houses exquisite Deities adorned with splendid decorations. Also referred to as the 'Sri Perumal Temple,' its original structure remained untouched until the early 1950s. In 1952, the MHEB opted to reconstruct and restore the Temple. Key festivals celebrated at the Temple include Purattasi Sani, Brahmotsavam, and Vaikunda Ekathesi. Following the traditions of South Indian temples, Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple's embellishments and rituals are rooted in South Indian culture. The Temple features additional deity idols such as Sri Vinayagar, Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Andal, Sri Anjaneyar, Sri Vishnu Durgai, Sri Murugan, and Sri Alvars. Indulge in authentic and delicious fare at the temple canteen. Recognising its cultural significance, the Protection of Monuments Board declared Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple a National Monument in 1978. With its worship of processional deities and various enhancements, the Temple truly embodies Hinduism.
